Maryland PR Firm's Media Relations Advise Featured in PR Week

NEW YORK, NY (March 23, 2007) -- Jeffrey A. Davis, APR, a partner with Sawmill Marketing Public Relations, recently served as a senior judge in one of the public relations industry's most prestigious awards competitions, the Silver Anvil Awards sponsored by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). A former president of PRSA's Maryland Chapter, Davis has been affiliated with the Silver Anvils as a judge since 1996.

This year a record 855 entries were received, according to PRSA. Winners will be announced on June 14 during a gala ceremony at the Equitable Center in New York City.

The Silver Anvil Awards program has grown in scope and stature since its inception in 1946, and are now awarded to programs in 54 categories. In the 60 years since the competition's inception, more than 1,000 organizations have received Silver Anvils for excellence in strategic public relations planning and implementation.
