BALTIMORE, MD (July 1, 2005) – Sawmill Marketing Public Relations has been selected to conduct a two-day public relations summit for the marketing managers and public relations directors of ski resorts owned and operated by Powdr Corporation, headquartered in Park City, Utah

The summit, scheduled for September 20 and 21 in Park City, will include representatives from ski resorts in Park City, Utah, Lake Tahoe, Calif., Bend, Ore. and Las Vegas.

According to Jeffrey A. Davis, a SMPR partner and co-leader of the summit, “The summit will focus on crisis communications planning and media training with the goal that at the conclusion of the summit, each resort will have the tools necessary to develop their own crisis communications plan and to also train their spokespeople with proven strategies and techniques to use when they are being interviewed by the media.”

Each session will include interactive exercises, including role playing and mock interviews. Attendees will also receive a variety of handout materials, including a presentation that they can use when conducting their own media training sessions.
